Yili, a bottled mineral water sourced in China’s Guangdong region, wanted to elevate their brand through a package and bottle design local heritage and attract a younger demographic.
Taking inspiration from Guangdong itself, Brandimage’s strategy was to “follow nature,” drawing on the region’s 24 annual solar season. We created a series of 24 bottles, each showcasing local flora across three unique seasonal categories.
To create excitement across a mundane bottle shape, Brandimage used the bottles as a full canvas, working with transparency to create depth and detail for the plant and flower illustrations. The brand mark is seamlessly incorporated into the packaging, allowing the vibrant colors to take center stage. The result is holistic premium water bottle designs that celebrate mother nature and instill pride in a local population.
Brandimage’s design has helped elevate the Yili brand, which was recently voted the top mineral water by Chinese consumers on 10 Brand China.
